960 At Night
"Well, we don't actually disappear. Most AM radio stations are required to lower their power at sunset. Being radiomen might not allow us to hold renewable energy jobs but still we do our part in saving Mother Earth. When the sun goes down, the atmosphere changes and AM radio travels much farther than during the day. The handful of grandfathered AM stations who do not power down after sunset can be heard hundreds, and sometimes thousands, of miles away."
